I start this week's column by sharing an e-mail I received a while back. The
author wrote, "I thought you should know that there has been a big stir in
the Philadelphia community about a local Internet celebrity that lives in
our own home town."

He went on to write, "His name is Gunner, have you heard of him? He is
gifted with a huge endowment! Well, keep up the good work and check this guy out! We would all love to see him on the cover of your magazine."

So, after a brief journey over to this website (http://www.gunnerworld.com),
and investing in a monthly membership (hey, it's a business expense!), I was
surprised to see that the man behind GunnerWorld.Com was the same man whose image I had seen several times over the past few years on various adult sites. Did this man, known as Gunner, truly live in our own backyard!?

GunnerWorld.Com is the # 1 gay/male porn site in the UK and one of the Top Ten gay adult sites in America. With close to 150,000 hits per DAY, this man has turned a big dick into an Electronic Empire!

After a brief e-mail exchange, Gunner and I finally found time to chat.
First, he's a sweetheart to talk with and quite open about how it all began.
It started when Gunner launched a personal web page a few years back -
complete with some nude pics. Well, traffic to his page was so high that the
owner of the domain wrote Gunner and said he should consider opening his own site!

So, like Mickey and Judy, Gunner gathered some childhood friends and
together decided to launch a website. Of course, Gunner's childhood friends
all happen to have grown into well-hung men like himself -- sure, and my
childhood was a wide array confused, dysfunctional fools - were is the
justice, I ask you?!?!

So what's it like, knowing that people have seen every inch (and we're
talking 12"x 7") of yourself? I wondered aloud that it must make it a bit
awkward at times. Gunner says it is; however "it's one of those things that
you have to be at peace with. Sure you wonder if they want to know you
because of your celebrity status, or because you're a warm human being - but as long as you realize that there is a 50/50 chance and you're at peace with it, it doesn't affect you."

Recently the BBC was in town to do a BIG story on Gunner for their new
program "That Gay Show". According to Gunner, it was quite a trip! "My
interview covered, or should I say uncovered, the dude behind the dick" says Gunner. "They wanted to know how my website grew to be one of the largest and most popular adult web sites to date and how it grew into a huge
phenomena. I was surprised I was that huge in the U.K."

Plans are in the works to add 'Gunner Vision' to the site and even market a
line of the infamous 'socks' that Gunner graciously models. Puts a whole new meaning to 'tube' sock, if ya ask me!
